Welcome! The first weekend in June on Saturday the community of Gig Harbor, WA comes together to celebrate a rich maritime heritage at Skansie Bros. Park and Jerisich Dock. The weekend begins with the annual Gig Harbor Antique & Classic Yacht Festival and Maritime Gig Festival with a main street parade and entertainment. The Blessing of the Fleet occurs on Sunday. This tradition blesses fisherman and boats embarking on another season of fishing via a flotilla. It is combined with a memorial for those lost at sea. The Taste of Gig Harbor on Sunday provides a sample of culinary favorites from local restaurants for a small cost. Also provided for enjoyment are Croation Dancing, entertainment and maritime related activity booths. All events are free to the public.
